Welcome to Project TRU Development Foundation, where we believe in the transformative power of education, mentorship, and community support. Our organization was born out of a shared passion for making a positive impact on the lives of underprivileged and at-risk youth and their families. We understand the challenges they face, and we are committed to providing them with the tools and opportunities they need to overcome obstacles and build a brighter future.
Founded in 2020, our non-profit organization is driven by a mission to end hunger, poverty, and recidivism in our communities. We firmly believe that education is the key to breaking the cycle of disadvantage, and we have dedicated ourselves to providing comprehensive training, mentorship, support, and resources to those who need it most.
Our programs are designed to empower young individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to navigate life's challenges successfully. From academic tutoring and vocational training to mentorship programs and community outreach initiatives, we offer a holistic approach to development. We understand that it's not just about addressing the immediate needs but also about fostering long-term growth and sustainability.
One of our primary focuses is on ending hunger in our communities. We believe that no one should go to bed hungry, and we work tirelessly to provide access to nutritious food for those in need. Through partnerships with local businesses, community organizations, and passionate volunteers, we organize food drives, and distribute meals to ensure that everyone has enough to eat.
In our pursuit to end poverty, we provide resources that empower individuals and families to lift themselves out of difficult circumstances. Whether it's through financial literacy workshops, job placement programs, or entrepreneurship training, we strive to break down barriers and create opportunities for economic independence.
Addressing the issue of recidivism is another crucial aspect of our mission. We understand the challenges faced by individuals who have been involved in the criminal justice system, and we provide support and resources to help them reintegrate into society successfully. By offering mentorship programs, job training, and counseling services, we aim to reduce the likelihood of individuals returning to a life of crime.
At Project TRU, we believe in the potential of every young person and the transformative power of collective action. Together with our dedicated team, volunteers, and partners, we are making strides towards a future where hunger, poverty, and recidivism are mere chapters in history books. Join us in our mission to create lasting change and empower the next generation to build a world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
Our team is made up of strong, compassionate and resourceful individuals that carries a passion for empowering the people in our community. Project TRU Development Foundation staff strives to foster an atmosphere of trust, collegiality, collaboration, openness, and cooperation. We are highly committed to nurturing lasting relationships with our clients’ families, staff, volunteers, donors, clients, and the communities in which we serve.
Change happens the moment you take that first step. Whether its daily necessities, classes, mentorship, counseling, or training that you need, our team is ready to assist you.
Nothing says community like an event full of love, smiles, fun, and togetherness.
Project TRU Development Foundation provides a supplemental food resource to improve the health of low-income citizens in our community. Our program supplements people in need with nutritious USDA-recommended commodity foods. Participants in the program receive a food box 1 to 2 times per month consisting of staple foods, including pasta, cereal, rice, canned fruit, canned vegetables, and canned meat.
